Project: Crossway - project completed

Crossway photovoltaic thermal PVT development from front

Project Description

Integrated PVT system designed with biomass pellet boiler for top up heat, MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery) for capturing and distributing waste heat and Phase Change Material (PCM) thermal buffer storage to store heat.

Crossway is a Grand Designs project - officially Kent's first Zero-Carbon House.

SES PVT panels:

System size 27m2 2.95kW (electrical peak output)

Net System Outputs:

Electrical2,873kWh/annum
Thermal9,627kWh/annum

Thermal Buffer Storage:

400 litre solar tank + salt Phase Change Material (PCM) store.

Evo Aqua Pellet Boiler uses:

22kg of biomass pellets/annum
